Dhaatri has recently been registered as a Ni-kshay Mitra (Ni=End, Kshay=TB, Mitra=Friend) in Madhya Pradesh's Panna district under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the national tuberculosis-eradication campaign. In this role, we will continue working closely with the district health authorities to provide crucial support to TB patients.
Over the past year, our health programme in Panna has focused on assisting Tuberculosis and silicosis patients, particularly those from the Gond Adivasi community who have been disproportionately affected by occupational health issues due to diamond and stone mining activities.
Our dedicated team of barefoot health volunteers has diligently monitored the medication, nutrition, and recovery progress of patients while collaborating with local health centres to ensure comprehensive treatment. Additionally, we are currently providing monthly nutrition kits to 28 patients in five villages of Panna.
